Sonia Kotecha

Sonia Kotecha is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a diverse professional background from working on the frontline directly with clients, to supervising and empowering volunteers, to working alongside community leaders in their role as public servants and nonprofit managers. Sonia has been employed in a variety of organizational settings including educational, government, social service and nonprofit entities. She has successfully trained and managed volunteer efforts for nonprofits and implemented nonprofit day events and multicultural extravaganzas on a large scale.
Sonia is currently employed with Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Travis County, a nonprofit organization that supports volunteers in their role as Guardian ad litem for children in the abuse and neglect system. Sonia Kotecha received a Masters degree in Social Work, with a concentration in Political Social Work, from the University of Houston and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology Honors and African American studies from the University of Texas at Austin.

Pinki Modi

Pinki Modi currently works for IBM as a Diversity Program Manager and has been with the company for 7 years. She started with the company as a software engineer and moved into managing 30 people and now supports the Southwest region, which consist of 9 IBM sites. Pinki attended Rutgers/NJIT in a joint duel degree program in Computer Information Systems.
Pinki has attended social and professional events that have enabled her to meet various groups of people that she would normally not have met otherwise. It served as a foundation and allowed her to build a network that she will always cherish. She looks forward to building similar networks with a new NetIP chapter in Austin, TX.

| Richa Johari is an Event Planner, a Marketing Director for Indian Weddings Online, a Chemistry Professor, and a newlywed. Though she is a chemist by education and training, she found a new love in wedding & event planning after creating the wedding of her dreams. She has always been an Indophile - in love with everything that has to do with Indian culture, and looks for ways to blend it with her American heritage. Richa enjoys writing about her thoughts and experiences in her journeys with Indian culture, weddings, and life as an Indian-American. Sumina Bhatti is a Realtor serving the Austin Metroplex. She is proud to call Austin her home since 2000. She has served on the board of the Austin Young Real Estate Professionals (AYREP) for the past 2 years and continues to be involved with continuing education for the Real Estate community in Austin. She is also involved in the local governing aspects of real estate with her local real estate PAC, one of the largest PAC's in Texas. Sumina's background is in Professional Organization. A self-proclaimed 'neat freak', she turned her hobby into a profession and has her own company 'Ms. Organization' since 2002. Her skill set parlayed well into Real Estate as well. Sumina has served in several leadership positions including Secretary followed by President of the International Student Organization at the University of Texas at Arlington while attending school there.

Jill Shah, LPC is currently with the United Way Capital Area (UWCA) as the Director of Financial Stability. Her role at UWCA is to create strategies to reduce by half the number of lower income working families who are financially unstable by 2018. She is a licensed mental health counselor and her expertise focuses on trauma work with homeless individuals, victims of domestic violence, and the victims of the attack on September 11 in New York City. Ms. Shah is the co-creator of the concept of "Building a Professional Package" a training and consulting company that helps supervisors learn how to manage and lead employees to a higher standard of excellence. She has authored articles on constructive confrontation, confronting in a culturally sensitive manner, defining supervision, and power in the supervisory relationship. She is a nationally known speaker and, has presented at numerous agencies in the US and Canada and a featured presenter at the 2005 Child Welfare League of America National Conference in Washington, DC and the 2008 YAI International Conference in New York City. |

| Sameer Shah is presently employed at Yardi Systems, Inc. where he is a Director in the Product Management group. He has over ten years of experience in operations and business management. Prior to this position Sameer has served as the VP, Operations at SiteStuff, Inc. (now a Yardi company), owned and managed a software consulting firm and worked in the energy trading field. Sameer holds a Master’s degree in Finance and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, both from Texas A&M University and he is also a Certified Public Accountant. Sameer also served in the United States Marine Corps (Reserve) from 1992-2000, where he received two certificates of commendation for leadership and performance. In his spare time he enjoys traveling, cooking and following college sports. |

Salil Ahuja, currently works for IBM as a Technical Lead in their AIM Customer Programs group. He has been working in the IT industry for over 8 years in a variety of positions ranging from development to client services. As a certified IBM Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) Designer, he has spent the majority of his career consulting with large healthcare players on the design, implementation and delivery of standards based enterprise SOA solutions. In his current role, he works with premium IBM clients to educate and enable them on the leading edge technologies within the IBM Business Process Management portfolio. Salil is a sought after expert on HIPAA and Health Level 7 Clinical Data Architecture and has presented to various IBM labs on Healthcare information exchange in the provider payer space. | Smitha Murthy is a new transplant to Austin and to the state of Texas, hailing from the east coast. Smitha is a physician specializing in the mental health field. She attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, the focus of her education being pre-medicine and cultural anthropology. Smitha’s adventurous spirit then led her to India for medical training. She completed the rest of her specialized training at East Carolina University in Greenville, NC and at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. |
