NetIP Annual Conference in Seattle: August 20 - 22

NetIPConference-SeattleThe NetIP North America Annual Conference will be held in Seattle from August 20th to August 22nd.  Here are some more details on this year's theme:

Unique by Nature.

We're unique, you know. As South Asian professionals living in North America, we have so much more in common than we realize or appreciate. The NetIP Annual Conference is an occasion that brings us together once a year in a meaningful way to celebrate these very bonds of common heritage.

We spend three days:

  • Exploring and learning at Keynotes, Panel Sessions, and Skill Workshops
  • Mingling with successful leaders, CEOs, and celebrities
  • Creating a community with our peers: the future leaders of North America
  • Dancing the night away at evening mixers

And, of course, we might as well have a bit of fun while we're at it! Be ready for an event that will leave you feeling intrigued, inspired, and dreaming big!

NetIP Austin Celebrates One Year

NetIP Austin's Spring Party was a success, and Smitha Murthy has written up a summary that captures the excitement:

SpringParty-BoardGroupShotSpring.  A time of renewal. Rebirth. Fresh starts.  And NetIP Austin.  The premier South Asian network for professionals in Austin not only celebrated good times with good people at the 2010 Spring Party, but this month marked the one year anniversary for this crew.  From humble beginnings with a dedicated board consisting of Kotecha’s 7, who were determined to revive the mission of NetIP in the community, the organization is now 13 board members strong.

But an organization is nothing without its members. And what better way to celebrate members, current and prospective ones, than with a party?

With President Sonia Kotecha at the helm, Vice President Pinki Modi and Marketing Director Sambhav Puri worked tirelessly in planning, organizing, networking, and ultimately steering their efforts and the efforts and contributions of the board to the culmination of a very successful 2010 Spring Party on Friday, April 9th.

Also, see the posting on the NetIP North America web site: NetIP Austin Celebrates One Year.

NetIP Austin Fundraising for Haiti

NetIP Austin is committed to the overall advancement and achievements of South Asian professionals. NetIP Austin promotes professional development, community service, political awareness and cultural awareness.

NetIP Austin is disheartened by the recent devestations in Haiti. As a community we feel a responsibility to respond to the needs of the children and families who are suffering. Doctors Without Borders, an international humanitarian organization has been providing their services to the people of Haiti prior to the recent events and need additional support to provide medical care to those injured.

Visit the NetIP Austin Fundraising Page to help support this cause.  For a complete summary of the event, see out NetIP Austin Haiti Fundraiser writeup by Sumina Bhatti.

NetIP Austin 2009 in Review

In April of 2009, NetIP Austin, the premier organization for South Asian Professionals joined a network of 24 chapters across North America dedicated to the overall advancement and achievement of South Asian professionals. The primary focus of NetIP is to foster a bond among South Asian professionals to unite and support each other locally, as well as give back and contribute positively to the communities in which we live and work. In its’ first year of revival, NetIP Austin delivered on this promise by hosting more than 30 events which provided our membership with opportunities for networking and giving back to the greater Austin community.
